What Does a News Anchor do?

A news reader or news anchor a person who presents news in a news format on the air, on television, in a newspaper or on the Internet is someone who provides information to viewers in the form of words or text. Their job is to read and interpret news so that the audience can understand it and get informed. News readers are often presenters, on-air news anchors, newsroom executives or reporters, book authors, editors, news anchors themselves. They will often work in newsrooms, news rooms or news bureaus, but they may also be freelance news reporters. A news reader will need to comprehend the news and the context in which it is being presented, and be able to make judgments about that news.
